Eskom’s National Transmission Company South Africa (NTCSA) is hiring!

Are you a fresh graduate, a TVET student, or someone who just finished high school and looking for a real job? NTCSA is launching its 2026 Learner and Graduate Intake Programme, which offers 174 training spots across South Africa. The program covers everything from engineering and finance to human resources, safety, and hands‑on trades that keep our power lines working. If you want to learn on the job and earn a recognized qualification at the same time, this is your chance.

Jobs are available in Gauteng, KwaZulu‑Natal, Limpopo, Eastern Cape, Northern Cape, Free State, and Bloemfontein. The application deadline is 21 January 2026, so act quickly. Below you’ll find all the details you need to know about the program, the different roles, and how to apply.


About the Programme

NTCSA runs South Africa’s power‑grid and keeps it running. They’re investing in people because a strong team means a reliable electricity supply. The intake combines on‑the‑job training and classroom learning so you can see how theory works in real life.


Engineer in Training (EIT) – 43 posts

Locations: Gauteng, Limpopo, KwaZulu‑Natal
Training period: 24 months on the job

Minimum qualification

You need a BEng or BSc in one of these subjects:

All GIT roles last 24 months and give you a lot of workplace exposure.

Duration: 12 months (a mix of school and real work)
Outcome: Finish with a Diploma or P1/P2 qualification

Qualification

Completed S4 or a Diploma in one of these fields:

  • Electrical Engineering (Heavy Current)

  • Electrical Engineering (Telecommunications)

Duration: 3 years
Outcome: Trade Test Certificate

Minimum requirements

  • Grade 12 with Maths 50%, Physical Science 50%, English 40% or
    N3 Engineering with English 40% or
    NCV Level 4 with Maths 50%, Physical Science 50%, English 40%
