Why This Internship Is Important

Many people in South Africa finish a TVET course and still can’t find a job. That’s usually because employers want someone who knows how a real office works, not just theory. This internship gives you that hands‑on experience in a public office. You’ll learn about everyday office tasks, how policies get turned into action, and what it takes to keep a government department running smoothly. A good internship can boost your résumé and open doors for future jobs or learning programs.

About the Office of the Premier

The Office of the Premier is the top authority in the Free State’s provincial government. It manages big projects that help the province grow, supports young people, and strengthens the public service. By working there, you’ll see how the province plans and runs its programmes, and you’ll learn professional habits that employers everywhere respect.

What You’ll Gain

  • Real job experience that employers look for.
  • Insight into how a provincial government operates.
  • Professional references that can help you later.
  • A stronger résumé with actual work experience.
  • Better chances of landing a future internship, learnership, or permanent position.

Eligible TVET Subjects

Your TVET NCV Level 4 diploma must be in one of these fields:

  • Business Management
  • Supply Chain Management
  • Office Management / Management Assistant
  • Food Technology / Food Security (hospitality)
  • ICT / 4IR (computer‑related)

Only TVET NCV Level 4 certificates count. If your diploma is a different level, you will not be considered.
