What You’ll Do
Earthmoving Equipment Apprentice
You’ll work under experienced technicians to:
- Spot problems in machines and diagnose faults
- Fix and repair earthmoving equipment
- Perform routine and major maintenance work
- Keep records of daily and weekly inspections
- Order spare parts when needed
- Track how well equipment is performing
- Help improve productivity plans
- Schedule and coordinate machine servicing
- Follow safety, health, environment, and quality (SHEQ) rules
Auto Electrician Apprentice
Your job will involve:
- Helping to find and repair electrical issues on earthmoving machines
- Checking and testing electrical systems such as lights, warning signals, and computers
- Using diagnostic software to read fault codes
- Working on wiring, starters, and alternators
- Logging unresolved issues and reporting to the plant manager
- Ordering electrical spare parts
- Carrying out planned electrical maintenance tasks
- Responding quickly to emergency electrical breakdowns
- Staying compliant with safety, health, environment, and quality procedures
Minimum Qualifications
General Requirements
- Finished Grade 12 (Matric) with a background in Mathematics, Physical Science, and Technical Drawing
Advantageous Subjects (N2)
- Earthmoving Equipment Apprentice – Mathematics, Engineering Science, Diesel Trade Theory
- Auto Electrician Apprentice – Mathematics, Engineering Science, Auto Electrical Trade Theory
