About the Apprenticeship
The program runs in Durban, KwaZulu‑Natal. It blends classroom lessons with real‑world practice so you’ll finish the year as a fully trained boilermaker ready to work on large industrial projects.

What You’ll Do
- Get ready for job sites – plan tools, set up equipment, and arrange materials.
- Build and put together metal parts, using hand tools and power machines.
- Check and test completed installations to make sure they work correctly.
- Fix and adjust parts or whole systems when something is wrong.
- Use both theory and hands‑on skills in different industrial settings.
What You’ll Learn
By the end of the course you should be able to:
- Organise the right tools and materials for a job and work safely with them.
- Operate hand, power, and measuring tools without risk.
- Fit, join, and connect metal components to create a finished product.
- Run tests, carry out inspections, keep systems running, and repair problems as they appear.
- Apply what you’ve studied to real work situations and solve practical challenges.

Option 3 – NCV Level 4
