W&RSETA Records Management Internships 2025-2026

Want a cool internship in records management?
W&RSETA, a South African agency that helps people learn new skills for the wholesale and retail industries, is looking for two graduates who want to start a career in records or information management. The program lasts 18 months and takes place in Centurion, South Africa. If you are a recent graduate who is unemployed and looking for a practical job, this could be the perfect fit for you. Who Is W&RSETA?

W&RSETA stands for Wholesale and Retail Sector Education and Training Authority. It is a public body that helps young people in South Africa get real work experience through internships, learnerships, bursaries, and training programs. The goal is to give unemployed youth useful skills and help change the job market for the better.


What’s the Internship All About?

This internship is focused on Records Management. It is designed for people who have studied topics like Records Management, Archival Studies, Information Science, or Library and Information Studies. During the 18 months, you’ll work with a team that handles all kinds of records and learns how to keep them organized, safe, and easy to find. It’s a hands‑on role that gives you the chance to learn the daily tasks of a records professional.


How Many Spots Are Open?

Only two positions are available. If you’re chosen, you’ll sign an 18‑month contract and work in the Records Management Department in Centurion.


Who Can Apply?

You need to have a National Diploma or a Degree in one of the four subjects listed above. Even if you are a bit late, make sure you apply before the closing date. Candidates who meet Employment Equity goals will get priority. If you get accepted, you will need to sign the contract for the full 18 months.


What Do You Need to Send?

  • A copy of your ID that is no older than six months.
  • Certified copies of all your qualifications that are also no older than six months.
  • In the subject line of your email, write the exact name of the position you’re applying for.

These documents must be clear and official; otherwise, your application might not be considered.


Rules to Keep in Mind

  • If you send your application after 5:00 p.m. on 21 November 2025, it will be ignored.
  • W&RSETA can decide not to fill the job if they need to.
  • Preference goes to applicants who fit the Employment Equity criteria.
  • Anyone who wins a spot must sign the contract for the full 18 months.
